Hey Hope City fam!
Like many of you, I’ve been glued to the screen watching the Hurricanes and Capitals go head-to-head in this playoff series. Game 1 had us on the edge of our seats as the ‘Canes pulled off that OT win—what a moment! But Game 2 reminded us that this series is far from over. It’s tied 1-1, and every shift, every save, and every faceoff matters from here on out.
Watching these guys hustle on the ice got me thinking: life—and faith—sometimes feels like a playoff series. You fight hard, you celebrate the wins, and sometimes, you face setbacks. But just like the ‘Canes aren’t backing down, we’re called to keep showing up, keep trusting God, and keep skating forward.
Let’s be a people who don’t quit after a tough loss. Let’s stay grounded, stay hopeful, and cheer each other on—on and off the ice. Whether it’s praying for a friend, standing strong in your faith at school, or just showing kindness when it’s tough, those are your playoff moments.
So yeah—I’m hoping the Hurricanes take this series. But more than that, I’m hoping we all live with the same kind of grit and grace that makes a real difference.
Go ‘Canes—and go live your faith out loud this week!
